The Story of Newish Traditions

Newish Traditions was founded by NYC-based couple Rachel and Mitchell. Sharing a love for games, activities, and new experiences the duo were always looking for new creative ways to have fun. Friends and family always knew there was a high likelihood the party they were invited to would be themed or gamified in some manner. It was hardly a surprise in the summer of 2013, when the two got engaged while competing in a city-wide scavenger hunt race. The excitement of the moment was only slightly tempered by the realization they weren’t going to win – or even finish – the hunt that year, yet they both took solace knowing there would certainly be many more opportunities in their future together. After years of informally creating and enjoying new experiences with friends and family it was only natural for the pair to formally share their fun new traditions with the broader world.
